Home Retrofit Technical Sales Advisor

The retrofitting of half a million Irish homes is a key element of Ireland’s transition to a low-energy, low carbon society and is considered globally a major growth area for the construction sector. To deliver this number of retrofits to a high standard, each homeowner will need help understanding the benefits and technical aspects of a home energy upgrade, so the role of Retrofit Sales Technical Advisor is now a vital role in the delivery of a successful home upgrades. As one of the SEAI’s approved One-Stop-Shop home energy upgrade service providers, Integrate Home Energy Upgrades are seeking a Technical Advisor to help us deliver our own ambitious retrofit targets.




  • Communicate to homeowners, and our in-house project management team, the technical aspects of retrofit best practice;
  • Communicate to homeowners the benefits and risks to retrofitting;
  • On-site home retrofit surveys;
  • Pre-works BER and DEAP calculations;
  • Preparation of home energy upgrade proposals including cost estimates;
  • Pre-contract negotiations with homeowner.




3 years’ experience working on residential construction projects, preferably retrofits, as part of design, project or site teams with exposure to sustainable construction best practice and building energy regulatory compliance (part L / BER).


Minimum Education


Level 7 degree in architecture, architectural technology, engineering (buildings), sustainable energy engineering, construction management, quantity surveying, building surveying and BER assessor registration.




  • Good communicator;
  • Ability to work promptly and efficiently;
  • Ability to understand technical aspects of building energy performance and construction generally;
  • Self-driven;
  • Curious with a willingness to grow and learn;
  • Comfortable working with Microsoft office and project management software;
  • Comfortable working with DEAP.




  • Flexible working hours – organise your own schedule;
  • Work from home when not surveying.
  • The role suits candidates living in the Leinster region, East Munster, East Connacht and South Ulster;
  • Company van;
  • Laptop / desktop computer.


Job Types: Full-time, Permanent.

Pay: €50,000.00-€60,000.00 per year.

  • Building Energy Rating (BER): 1 year (required);
  • Irish construction: 3 years (required).


Work Authorisation:


  • Ireland (required).


Work Location: On the road, work from home, periodic meetings.
